Know a great healthcare professional? Send them our way.

$300 referral bonus
per qualifying placement

Anyone can refer — current and former CK clinicians, friends, family, and members of the public. When your referral starts a qualifying assignment and completes 14 days and 72 hours worked, you get paid.

How the referral program works

Four steps from recommendation to bonus. The most important one is step two — your name has to be on their application.

1

Tell them about CK

Recommend CK Medical Staffing to a healthcare professional you know. A conversation, text, email, or social message all count.

2

They name you on the application

They must enter your full name and phone number in the "Referred By" fields when they apply. This is required — a referral can't be added later.

3

They start a qualifying assignment

Your referral accepts a travel or local contract and begins work within 180 days of applying.

4

You get your $300

Once they complete 14 calendar days and 72 hours actually worked, your bonus is issued within 14 business days.

Don't skip this step

Your referral must enter your information in the Referred By (Name) and Referrer Contact No. fields on their application. If those fields are blank, the referral can't be credited later — even if you introduced them yourself.

Referral program questions

Straight answers about how the bonus is earned and paid.

How much is the CK referral bonus?
The standard referral bonus is $300 gross for each eligible referral that meets all program requirements. CK may offer higher amounts during published promotional periods. Only one bonus is paid per referred clinician's initial placement — extensions and renewals don't generate additional bonuses.
What does my referral have to do for me to get paid?
They need to accept a qualifying travel or local contract with CK, begin the assignment, and then complete both 14 calendar days on that assignment and 72 hours actually worked. Paid orientation hours count toward the 72 hours. PTO, cancellation pay, and guaranteed pay for unworked hours do not.
How do I make sure I get credited for the referral?
Your referral must enter your full name and correct phone number in the "Referred By (Name)" and "Referrer Contact No." fields when they submit their application. Both fields are required. A referral can't be established through a conversation, text, or email alone, and a referrer cannot be added or changed after the application is submitted.
How long is my referral good for?
A referral stays valid for 180 calendar days from the date the application is submitted. Your referral needs to begin a qualifying assignment within that window. They don't need to finish the 14-day and 72-hour requirements inside the 180 days — the assignment just has to start before the referral expires.
When and how do I get paid?
CK issues earned bonuses within 14 business days after your referral meets the requirements and CK has the tax documentation needed to pay you. Current CK employees are paid through payroll as taxable compensation. Non-employees are generally paid by prepaid gift or debit card and will need to submit a completed Form W-9 before payment can be issued.
Is the referral bonus taxable?
Yes. Referral bonuses are generally taxable income. Bonuses to current employees run through payroll under normal employment tax rules. Non-employee recipients must provide a Form W-9 or other appropriate tax documentation. Using a prepaid card does not make the bonus tax-free, and recipients are responsible for their own tax obligations.
Can I refer someone who applied to CK before?
Possibly. Someone who applied previously but never completed onboarding may still qualify through a new, genuine referral made after the program launched. However, they can't already be active in CK's recruiting or hiring process, and anyone who previously completed onboarding with CK is not eligible as a referred applicant.
How many people can I refer?
There's no limit on the number of different healthcare professionals you can refer. Each eligible referral who meets the requirements earns a separate $300 bonus. You can only earn one bonus per person, on their initial qualifying placement.
Do I need to disclose that I earn a bonus when I recommend CK?
Yes, if you're promoting CK publicly or on social media. Your disclosure should appear with the recommendation itself, not just in your profile. An acceptable disclosure is: "I may receive a referral bonus if you apply through my referral and meet CK Medical Staffing's program requirements."
